Pizza Chicken (FREE WITH HEA)

Number of Days I Stuck to Plan This Week:

I only stuck to the SW plan for 4 days this week and yet still managed a loss. I'm putting this down to combining SW with the 5:2 diet that every one seems to be raving about.

My eating pattern this week looked like this:

Weds: Fasting day (more about this in a minute)
Thurs: SW
Fri: Fasting day
Sat: ate like a pig
Sun: ate like a pig
Mon: ate like a pig
Tues: SW (and lost 1lb!!!)

On the 'fasting' days I stuck to 500kcal, and adhered to SW too. I ate an Oat So Simple (plain made with water, HEB) for breakfast, an apple for lunch, and a salad with a boiled egg and 30g cheese (HEA) for dinner. Not much when you are used to the portion sizes Slimming World allows....

The first day was hard work, all I could think about was food and denying myself. At 3pm I went 'through the wall' and didn't feel hungry at all (that could have been all the green tea my colleague and co-dieter was feeding me though!).

It wasn't until I had eaten my main meal that night that I realised how hungry I had been, but I felt great and this might sound insane but my tummy felt firmer!? Possibly because I wasn't filling it with muller light, and because I felt so 'virtuous' I was also avoiding diet fizzy drinks.

The second day it felt absolutely fine, didn't think about food at all. I think because you know the next day will be normal it carries you through. And check it out - 3 days eating like a pig (ice cream, chocolate and KFC...) and still a weight loss....

The 5:2 diet has been quoted with having many health benefits, which is a massive bonus, but also it made my working day so much simpler. I didn't have to pack up any food in the morning. Just grabbed a sachet of porridge and an apple and off I went. It also stopped me procrastinating. I've realised at work I put off difficult tasks until I've eaten something to 'fire my brain'. I had nothing to distract myself with so I was far more productive.

I'll definitely do this again. probably on weeks where I have an event or meal out, to compensate for my off day.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Pizza Chicken (FREE on Extra Easy with HEA)

Chop Cherry Tomatoes, Ham and Mozzerella (42g HEA), and lay across Chicken Breast. Roast until cooked through and served with potatoes roasted in Fry Light and Salad..
