Saturday Roast

Tomorrow is a busy day as we are going to two parties. Get us and our hectic social whirl!

The first is The Trolls' best friends 4th birthday party. There will be a bouncy castle, face painting and cake. The second is Great-Great-Aunt's surprise 60th birthday party. There will be a bar, buffet food and dancing.

If I can ignore bar, buffet & cake and stick to the bouncy castle and dancing (and possibly face painting) I can make this week on the scales a good one. I'm taking a tub of tuna pasta which should help me avoid the cold pizza slices and black forest gateau.

This means our Sunday roast has been pulled back a day. Ha! We laugh in the face of British tradition! Bring on the roast tatties and gravy!!

WHAT WENT INTO IT FOR 3 PEOPLE:
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • Leek, sweet peppers, potatoes roasted in fry light
  • Peas and sweetcorn
  • 142ml Gravy (2.5 SYNS) made with garlic and balsamic vinegar

HOW I MADE IT:
  • Roasted the chicken with garlic and slices of lemon
  • Par boiled potatoes for 7 minutes then roasted with leek, sweet peppers for 30 mins in fry light
  • Boiled peas and sweetcorn for 5 minutes
  • Gravy made with garlic and balsamic, ingrediants all combined and simmered for 20minutes
BREAKFAST: 2 SCRAMBLED EGGS, 3 JOE'S SAUSAGES, CUP OF TEA WITH DASH OF MILK (0.5 SYNS) ; LUNCH: TUNA WEDGIE MELT (0.5 SYNS FOR MAYO, 0.25 SYNS FOR 2 OLIVES AND HEALTHY A CHOICE) 1 SATSUMA; DINNER: "SATURDAY ROAST"; SNACKS: FROZEN BLUEBERRIES IN STRWBERRY MULLER LIGHT, 2 BANANAS, 2 ALPEN LIGHT BARS (HEALTHY B CHOICE), GRAPES; PUDDING: FROZEN BANANA SLICES IN TOFFEE MULLER LIGHT x 3
